On May 29, 2025, we gathered at the stunning rooftop of Matrix Applications LLC — and what followed was a full-house celebration of purpose-driven entrepreneurship, community spirit, and bold dreams.
Thank you to Matrix Applications and Colleen Judge for partnering with us and setting the stage for a powerful evening.
Our President Jignesh Patel welcomed guests with opening remarks that reflected TiE NY’s mission to foster entrepreneurship through the 5 pillars of TiE: Education, Networking, Mentoring, Access to funding and Incumbating
.
Christopher Hollinger, co-chair of our TiE Women Pitch Competition, spotlighted TiE Women’s global impact, followed by Devyani Patel, who proudly shared TiE NY’s ongoing commitment to uplifting women entrepreneurs and called on them to apply for the 2025 Pitch Competition.
💡 We were moved by our Women Pitch Alumni —
-
Saumya Rawat of Pharmesol
-
Rigu Gupta of Pirogon
-
Priya Prakash of Wannaeat
— who shared how TiE NY helped shape their entrepreneurial journeys, connected them to a powerful network, and gave them the confidence to grow. They shared their journeys, their growth after the competition, and how TiE NY helped propel their entrepreneurial success. Their stories left the room buzzing with energy and inspiration!
Then came one of the most riveting parts of the evening — the Member Mixer, featuring our rockstar Charter Members whose stories truly embody the entrepreneurial spirit:
🔹 Karan Dalal shared his incredible journey from working on development efforts in rural India to making it big in the U.S. Through grit and vision, he built a successful startup, achieved a remarkable exit, and now continues to lead with purpose and passion in the investment space. A story of staying rooted while rising high.
🔹 Nitin Chambarahally, founder of Sahaayak, introduced his platform designed to help aging parents of U.S.-based children live with dignity and independence in India. A truly heartfelt mission — offering health, legal, and emotional support all on one platform. His story touched every attendee who has aging family overseas.
🔹Apsara Srivats brought warmth and wisdom to the room as she shared her own entrepreneurial and professional path. Her message on finding strength through community, mentorship, and self-leadership deeply resonated with the audience and reminded us of the power of staying true to one’s values while growing forward.
🔹 Sunny Kaila took us on a powerful journey — from driving a cab in NYC to founding a thriving tech company. His story is a testament to resilience, reinvention, and the incredible opportunities entrepreneurship can unlock.
To top it off, our very own Craig Abbott shared details on the TiE U University Pitch Competition, encouraging young founders to take advantage of this incredible global platform.

We were honored to host a compelling conversation with Sriram Bharadwaj, Chief Operating and Information Officer at Longevity Health, moderated by our very own charter member Kathirvel Kumararaja.
With over 25 years of healthcare innovation and executive leadership, Sri shared powerful insights from his journey.
Some key takeaways:
- “Data is the new oxygen.” Clean, structured, and accessible data is critical for better healthcare outcomes.
- Empathy matters. Tech innovation must prioritize the human experience — for both providers and patients.
- Build with integrity. In healthcare, compliance isn't a hurdle — it's a competitive advantage.
