October 2026

The SpeakUp5k was a blast!

Thank you to all of the runners, walkers, volunteers, vendors, and supporters who participated in this year's SpeakUp5k! It was the most perfect and inspiring day.

CKG Ambassadors are climbing for

teen mental health this month!

This Stratton Mountain design is available in short and long sleeve t-shirts and hoodies. Proceeds will be donated to the CKG Foundation.

Climbing a mountain is strikingly similar to the journey of maintaining mental health. Both require resilience, perseverance, and the ability to navigate challenging terrain. In the same way that ascending a mountain involves facing steep slopes and unpredictable weather, managing mental health involves confronting life's obstacles and uncertainties.

Both journeys, whether up a mountain or towards mental health, emphasize the transformative power of facing challenges head-on and emerging stronger on the other side.

SpeakUp Club student on CBS6!

Madison Jewett, a former SpeakUp Club student from Trinity Episcopal School, was featured on CBS6 to share about what being involved in the SpeakUp Club means to her. We're so inspired by our students!

SpeakUp Club visits are in full swing!

We're having a blast visiting the SpeakUp Clubs! This year we have SpeakUp Clubs in 15 middle and high schools. Thanks to generous support from Henrico Prevention Services and an another community supporter, we've been able to redesign our Mental Health Awareness and Stress Awareness journals that are distributed to all of the students.

Listen to Our New Podcast Episode!

New episodes of our podcast Brainwaves Unplugged: Real Talk on Mental Health hosted by Grace Gallagher drop the first Monday of the month!
