You and Your Congregation Can Help
Julia Menzo of Lutheran Disaster Response in Eastern PA offers a few ways that you can help the recovery effort:
Pray and be present
Offering a space for those impacted to pray, and for all impacted by Ida and the events of the past year is so critical to all of our well beings right now. The value of offering prayers and holding worship and continuing to be a steadfast presence in your community cannot be overstated.

Cleanup Kits Needed
Over 300 cleanout kits were distributed in response to local flooding this summer. Now, supplies need to be replenished to help victims of the Hurricane Ida flooding. Learn more at the Lutheran Congregational Services website under the tab 'Ways to Engage'
Resource Center Established in Chester
Chester County officials and the Department of Emergency Services announce the operation of a Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) for all individuals and families in Chester County affected by Hurricane Ida.
The Chester County MARC is a “one stop shop” that provides assistance to all impacted residents by bringing together staff from many agencies who can help with the services needed to address the losses caused by Hurricane Ida. The MARC will operate on Wednesday, September 8 and Thursday, September 9, from 12 noon to 7:00 p.m. at the United Sports Training Center, 1426 Marshallton Thorndale Road, Downingtown, PA.
Watch for information about MARC’s in other counties in our Synod.
