CUNY Callouts

Ayesha Fareed recently graduated from Hunter College, where she majored in English Literature and took a blend of science and math classes on the side. She enjoyed listening to lectures on health and medicine, which taught her the best practices for educating her community on prevalent conditions. She also loved reading and tackling her many writing assignments. During her senior year, Ayesha worked as an intern for CUNY’s Office of Communications and Marketing, writing for the CUNYverse platform and helping to empower other student voices. She hopes to pursue a career in marketing and publishing, and to one day publish her own book.

Ayesha’s best advice: “Be confident in yourself and your goals. It is important that you are your number one supporter, because if there’s anyone who can motivate you to accomplish your dreams — it’s you.”
