As we navigate through an exciting period of transition for our newest Broncos, the Office of New Student Programs & Family Engagement is delighted to extend a warm welcome to our new Bronco supporters! At this pivotal time in your student's journey, our office plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and enriching start to their academic career.

Our team is currently immersed in our Student and Bronco Family Orientation programming for our first-time freshmen, where we have the privilege of introducing your students to the vibrant community and valuable resources here at Cal Poly Pomona. From campus tours to financial aid presentations and community-building activities, our goal is to equip you and your student with knowledge and support.

Our monthly newsletter serves as a vital tool between our office and you, providing updates on campus events, academic milestones, and opportunities for involvement. It is our hope that this newsletter not only keeps you informed but also strengthens our partnership in supporting your student's success.

As we continue to work closely with your student during this pivotal time, we encourage you to stay connected with us through our newsletter and other communication channels. Your involvement and support are instrumental in shaping your student's journey here at Cal Poly Pomona.

Summer 2024 Orientation Reminders

As we continue to move through our Summer 2024 Orientation, here are some friendly reminders to ensure you and your student are prepared for your orientation day.

Please click the button below for our interactive campus map access. Feel free to search "Parking Structure 2" for directions.

Students must complete the Pre-Orientation Modules Part 1 & 2 BEFORE their orientation day. This will allow for their Orientation Registration (ROS) hold to be removed and allow for course registration.
Students must register their vehicle and display their parking permit for orientation. Parking for orientation is in Parking Structure 2.
Student and guest check-in for orientation will take place in the Bronco Commons. Check-in will begin at 7:30am and end at 8:30am.
We strongly suggest bringing an umbrella/hat and a water bottle for orientation. The Bronco Family Orientation programming does involve moderate walking especially during our campus tours.

Join us for a webinar and Q&A with the office of Financial Aid & Scholarships!

We'll be live via Zoom on Tuesday, July 30th from 6pm - 7:30pm PST providing you information about FAFSA and other student aid.

Parent & Family Move-In Lounge

Join us for some light refreshments and snacks at our Bronco Family Move-In Lounge. Parents, family members and supporters of CPP students who will be moving into campus are invited!

We'll be at the Move-In Lounge on Sunday, August 18th through Tuesday August 20th.

Fall Conference is a week-long series of events to celebrate the start of a new academic year.

Please encourage your students to mark their calendars for New Student Convocation which will take place on Tuesday, August 20th!

Please keep in mind that during orientation season (June 10 - August 2) you may experience some delays in response times. We appreciate your patience as we guide our incoming Broncos and prepare them for an amazing educational experience at Cal Poly Pomona.

Did You Know...

Every student has assigned academic and faculty advisors! Students can see their advisor information in their Bronco Direct student portal.

If a student has a question, they can always Ask Billy. Students at CPP love Billy Chat, our AI texting robot. Learn more about Billy Chat here. You can always say hello by texting 909-326-6145.

CPP has about 300 student clubs and organizations. If your student is looking to build community, connect with peers, and expand their network, direct them to the Office of Student Engagement, Leadership & Success.

CPP offers Student Health (Medical) Services at little or no cost to students. We value the health and safety of our community! You can review the types of services that Student Health offers here.
