hud inflationary adjustments and passbook rate effective january 1, 2025In August 2024, HUD announced its inflationary adjustments for income and assets and the passbook rate that will take effect on January 1, 2025. These adjustments were put in place by the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act of 2016 (HOTMA). They impact developments with Housing Tax Credits and/or CHFA loans as well as those with Section 8. The new amounts must be used for all tenant certifications effective on or after January 1, 2025. CHFA’s website has been updated to include a summary of the adjustments by year. For Housing Tax Credit/CHFA loan developments, find the summary here.
