Central Ohio's Largest Irish-American Women's Organization
"American by birth, Irish by the grace of God!"

Dear Daughters of Erin Members,

The Daughters of Erin has been invited by the Licking County Genealogical Society to participate in the Licking County Genealogy Expo on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from Noon to 3:00 pm at the Newark Public Library, 101 West Main St., Newark, Ohio 43055.

In addition to traditional genealogy, this year’s expo has a special focus on cultural heritage. The organizers have asked if the Daughters of Erin would be interested in hosting a booth to share Irish heritage details and genealogy research tips with attendees. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to connect with the community and share information with prospective new members!

Unfortunately, I will be out of town and unable to attend, so we are looking for volunteers to represent the DOE at this three-hour event.

Helpful Links & Resources:

  • Read this article on Irish genealogy tips from the Dublin Irish Festival for ideas on research resources to share.
  • Census 1926 holds a unique place in history as it was the first census conducted after the establishment of the Irish Free State. This website was released in April 2026 https://nationalarchives.ie/collections/search-the-1926-census/
  • We will provide handouts with Daughters of Erin information.
  • Check out the attached poster and details online at the Licking County Genealogy Expo website.

Please email me at cherylcostello@yahoo.com or call or text me at 614-774-8879 if you are interested in attending or want to get additional information.

Best regards,

Cheryl Costello

President, Daughters of Erin
