Pastor Trudy's Message

Preaching Text: Luke 1:26-45

Mary and Elizabeth share Good News! But not with the world. Not yet. The good news is also powerful news. This week they’ll hold it together…and we will hold it with them.

Holy and mighty God, thank you for Mary and Elizabeth’s joy and courage. Send us out with the same courage to share the news of Jesus with the world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

• We pray for gratitude for all you have done.
• We pray for the wellbeing of creation, our home.
• We pray for the leaders of our nation.
• We pray for healing for all under emotional and mental duress or suffering physical illness.
• We pray that all ongoing conflicts and wars around the world might come to an end.
• We pray for inspiration to pass on the faith to the next generation as those before us passed on the faith to us.

We lift up all of our prayers, spoken and unspoken to you. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

End of Year Giving

Thanks to all who support the sharing of Christ's love with our community through Geneva Lutheran Church! As you plan your end of year generosity, here are a few reminders:

• Online giving is a great way to give, and giving from a bank account rather than a credit card can help avoid additional bank fees.
• Gifts mailed to the church must be postmarked by December 31, 2024 to be included in 2024 giving statements.
• Stock Donations and Required Minimum Distribution gifts (for those 73 or older) are also a great way to support our ministry. Talk to Lisa in our office.

Thank you to the generosity team, staff, and members of GLC for your significant support of LSSI! We look forward to continued to connections with Riverain Senior Apartments.

~ Rev. Kelly Nieman Anderson, LSSI Manager of Church and Community Engagement
