Have you ever thought of the meaning of the Transfiguration? Christ's Transfiguration signifies His true Glory. Not only was He a man yet also the Son of God. Divine!! This proves to His disciples His glory. It is also a foreshadowing of His resurrection and that Christ will rise and overcome death. It may be possible, yet we are not sure of this fact, that Jesus was not satisfied with the progress of His disciples and He wanted to demonstrate His true Glory. Could it be that Christ understood that His disciples did not understand His true significance? In other words, we know from history that at that time, it was fairly common to hear of a messiah and even several men in that era had many followers. The Transfiguration showed proof to Christ's Disciples the significance of His reason to be on earth. Pray about this, and see if Christ's transfiguration effects you. Do you understand that Christ came so that you may be saved, and that His resurrection was for all human kind? Christ was not only a prophet, but Christ was both human and divine at the same time.
