This is a notification of track maintenance work that will impact rail service in southern Brooklyn.
Please be advised that MTA NYC Transit will be performing track and switch replacement north of the Bay 50th St Station, on the West End D Line, on two (2) consecutive weekends, commencing on Friday, June 28th, 2024, and ending on Sunday, July 7th, 2024. Scheduled working hours will be as follows: 6 AM to 4 PM on Fridays for preparatory work which consist of, but not limited to the staging of street cranes, track panels and related materials at the crane sites listed below, and 5 AM-9 PM on Saturdays and Sundays, for track removal and installation.
To accommodate this work, Manhattan-bound D trains will operate express between Stillwell Av and Bay Parkway Stations.

For service to Bay 50th and 25th Av stations, take the D to Bay Parkway and transfer to a Coney Island-bound D train.

For service from Bay 50th and 25th Av stations, take a D to Coney Island-Stillwell Av and transfer to a Manhattan-bound D train.
NYCT will have a maximum of two (2) Cranes placed adjacent to the elevated structure for the purpose of hoisting and lowering of track panels and materials at the location listed below.
NYCDOT approved flagging and traffic devices will be utilized for the safety of the public. Parking will not be allowed on Stillwell Ave, between Bay 47th & Bay 50th Street to allow traffic diversion, maintaining one (1) travel lane of open in each direction at all times. Parking will also be restricted for 150’ ft. along each curb lane at each Crane location to allow the placement of a crane and materials.

Ave W, between Stillwell Ave & W. 13th St (Reduced to one(1) Lane for Westbound traffic).
Stillwell Ave Traffic Diversion:
- Southbound Traffic: Will run on the southbound Parking/Service Lane.

Northbound Detour: Will run “against the normal direction of traffic” on the S/B Lane

This is to advise you of upcoming signal modernization work along the F line starting Monday, July 1. The work is part of the final stages of the Authority’s Culver Line Signal Modernization project, which is fully replacing signals on the Culver Line from Church Av to West 8 St-New York Aquarium to improve reliability and resilience, and also removing and decommissioning equipment that has reached the end of its useful life to improve overall service for customers.
On the following weekends, F train service will operate between Jamaica-179 St and Church Av stations. Free shuttle buses will operate between Church Av and Coney Island-Stillwell Av to provide service to closed stations. These dates are subject to change:
- Friday, July 5 to Monday, July 8; Friday, July 12 to Monday, July 15
- Friday, August 9 to Monday, August 12; Friday, August 16 to Monday, August 19; Friday, August 23 to Monday, August 26; Friday, August 30 to Tuesday, September 3 (Labor Day Weekend)
- Friday, September 6 to Monday, September 9; Friday, September 13 to Monday, September 16
In addition to the scheduled weekend work, F train weekday service will be impacted at all times during the following dates. These dates are subject to change:

Monday-Friday, July 1-5 and July 8-12: Coney Island bound F train service operates express between Church Av and Kings Highway.

Monday-Friday, August 5-9 and 12-16: Manhattan bound F train service operates express between Kings Highway and Church Av.
