Walking for Miracles

Thank you for participating in our Virtual Walk on May 17. Our message that childhood cancer is NOT just about the medicine reached far beyond Washington, DC. We are thrilled that friends and families gathered virtually in 30 states to walk in support of the psychosocial needs of children with cancer and their families.

The photos and messages sent to us by Walk participants were amazing. It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words. We invite you to watch our 17 Years of Service video, which visually highlights some of our amazing accomplishments. Thanks to your support we have made thousands of Mattie Miracles possible over all these years.

Spreading Hope Through Psychosocial Support _sm

Together we...................

Support the salary of a full-time Child Life professional.
Fund psychosocial implementation research grants.
Stock our FREE Snack & Item Carts at local hospitals.
Grant M & M Wishes, which awards children with cancer up to $1,000, for a fun family activity, trip or wish list item.
Award Therapy Grants to families to access professional psychosocial support within the community to improve quality of life.

Making Miracles

Mattie Miracle is grateful for the support of our 7 community and 30 individual sponsors, who together contributed $29,000. Many of our sponsors are long-term supporters of the Foundation, and we thank Kearney & Company, for being our presenting Walk sponsor.

We had 9 teams participate in our Virtual Walk! Together, they raised $31,184. Teams ranged in size from two to 19 people. A big thank you to our team captains for the outstanding energy, leadership, and determination they had to make this year's virtual Walk a success.

Our Raffle Winners

The Mattie Miracle raffle raised $3,590! We sold 718 raffle tickets and our top selling items were: 1) iPad, 2) Money Tree, 3) Nats Tickets, and 4) LEGO. We want to thank our raffle donors for the wonderful items contributed to the Foundation, and for helping us raise funds to support our psychosocial programs and initiatives.
