New ACH rules implemented by NACHA

If you're an operator who is utilizing BroadHub autopayment integrations with our various ACH vendor partners, please note that new ACH rules came into effect March 19th, 2021. National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA) governs the thriving ACH Network, the payment system that drives safe, smart, and fast Direct Deposits and Direct Payments with the capability to reach all U.S. bank and credit union accounts.

With the rule change, we recommend confirming with your payment processor partner, to obtain further details regarding how the rule change may impact your team.

GLDS has been in contact with our ACH vendor partners and has been advised that there are no changes in BroadHub required to support the new ACH requirements.

DOCSIS PKI Notice

DOCSIS Modems with Expired Certificates May Leave Customers Offline

Are you a DOCSIS based network operator? Did you know that certain DOCSIS Cable Modems will begin going out-of-service in May 2021 unless action is taken to load renewed CableLabs® issued DOCSIS Manufacturers CA certificates? These certificates have a 20-year validity period from date of issue in 2001 – this is the year. Unless action is taken, modems with expired certificates will not be able to complete authentication for BPI+ which is used for DOCSIS link encryption between the modem (CPE) and the (CMTS - Cable Modem Termination System). Some DOCSIS 3.0 modems manufactured in the last number of years can also be impacted; DOCSIS 3.1 Modems are not impacted. CableLabs has issued a FAQ available by clicking here. Updated cable modem firmware can be obtained from your equipment manufacturer or supplier; GLDS does not supply firmware. Just a friendly public service announcement!

Have you ever needed to sort your BroadHub search results? When you mouse over a heading, as shown in the image, a second arrow appears. Just click the second arrow to select from a list of filtering options for that column. Easy-Peasy!

BroadHub 101 Certification Training - Online (temporarily)

In response to the ongoing Covid-19 situation, GLDS has moved our popular BroadHub 101 Certification training course online. Usually held monthly at our GLDS headquarters in Carlsbad, CA, training courses are now being held only bi-monthly in an online format. The next scheduled class is June 14-18. Register now.
