Presented By: Kayla Condon
Kayla has been working in the Human Services field for almost 15 years. Her career started as a direct support professional where her passion for supporting individuals with disabilities began. She has had the opportunity to manage a residential group home and run a program to support individuals that are living independently. Currently works full-time at the Department of Developmental Services in MA and continues to work part-time providing community inclusion and respite supports to those who live with their families.
Kayla noticed many individuals she worked with had limited knowledge regarding their sexuality, which sparked her to further her own knowledge by learning more about sexuality and how to support individuals with I/DD in this area. Kayla hopes to help individuals, parents/caregivers, and staff to become more comfortable with talking about and embracing the importance of sexuality for all.
During this training you will:
• Learn what sexuality is
• Discover how to start the discussion, and keep it going
• Become more comfortable with talking about sexuality and masturbation
• Gain the tools to be confident when discussion masturbation with your child
