We can't wait for Grandparents Day on April 2nd. To make sure everyone receives their invitations on time, please take a moment to update your grandparents' address information in FACTS. We are also looking ahead with excitement to upcoming field improvements that will enhance our campus and provide even better spaces for our students to learn, play, and grow.

Just a quick note: while we’re putting a new roof on McManus Hall, we won’t be able to offer summer camps this year. But don’t worry! We’re happy to announce that Vacation Bible School will still be happening during the second week of June in the Family Center, and we can’t wait to see many of our families join in the fun!

Grandparents Day is Thursday, April 2nd. Invitations will be mailed out soon. Please go in and check that your child's grandparents' addresses are correct.

Here’s how to update your contact information in FACTS Family Portal:

In Chrome, Firefox, or Safari, go to factsmgt.com and click Family login
Select FACTS Family Portal
Type the school’s District Code – SMSD-TX, Username, & Password
Under School, select "Web Forms."
Then select "St. Monica Family Demographic Form."

On this form, you can update your contact information, grandparents, emergency pickups, etc.

St. Monica Destination Imagination

Our St. Monica 5th grade team competed last weekend at the Destination Imagination Dallas Regional Tournament with hundreds of students from DISD and private schools in Dallas. They placed 2nd in the Technical Challenge and will advance to the STATE Tournament in April!

Congratulations to The 7 Smarties: Lexi C., Ellision C., Arley S., Maggie M., Ellie S., Caroline H., Elyn A., and team manager Jessica Cazares.

The Jethsuby Scholarship Fund

The Catholic Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications for The Jethsuby Scholarship Fund for the 2026-2027 school year. The fund will provide scholarships of up to 50% of the in-parish tuition rate, depending on financial need, to Hispanic students attending or planning to attend a Catholic elementary school in the Diocese of Dallas.

Eligibility requirements for the award include:

Hispanic ethnicity and at least one parent must have been born outside the United States
For students entering 1^st through 8^th grade
Excellent academic performance.
Demonstrable financial need. (FACTS)
The student is not receiving financial aid from any other source, such as a diocesan scholarship or a parish/staff tuition discount.

Documentation needed:

School transcript.
Principal/Teacher recommendation letter.
Parish pastor’s recommendation.
FACTS application submitted via the Diocese by February 23rd.
