South Sea Pines Drive Infrastructure Improvement Project Reminders

Major Stormwater drainage work along South Sea Pines Drive from Baynard Cove Road to Gadwall Road is in progress. Stormwater drainage work along Scaup Court is scheduled to begin the week of February 19th, weather permitting.
- Project work includes stormwater drain pipe excavation and replacement, asphalt milling, and temporary roadway paving repairs.
- Due to the nature of major infrastructure improvement work, unplanned water and or utility outages in the work zone may occur.
Beginning the week of February 12, 2024, weather permitting, heavy roadway and leisure trail demolition and reconstruction is planned to begin along South Sea Pines Drive. Expect heavy traffic delays and leisure trail closures.
Project Roadway Traffic and Leisure Trail Impact Reminders:
- Single-lane road closures and flagging operations will be in place daily, weather permitting.
- Motorists should expect traffic delays and be prepared for traffic detours to South Beach Lane.
- Motorists should be prepared to share the road with bikers and pedestrians.
- Please use caution while driving in this area and observe the work zone speed limit of 15 mph and obey all traffic management personnel, signage and devices.

Leisure trails in the project area will be closed as needed. For safety, cyclists will be required to dismount and walk bikes around the active work zones.
