How in the world is Halloween lurking right around the corner? We cannot deny our "new norm" is working from home or any remote location that does not have a large group of co-workers. It's no longer a "choice" as to whether you want to host meetings virtually. It is now a necessity.
Even when the pandemic is done running its ragged course, many businesses have discovered and become accustomed to the many benefits of conducting remote meetings. For those of you of my generation, Zoom was a kids PBS T.V. show of the 1970s. Today, Zoom, like Google, has become a "verb" Ex. "Why not 'Zoom' me to review the report."
I know we are more casual these days, however, one area that has been a Halloween freak-show is the lack of emphasis on looking and sounding polished and professional during video-conference meetings.
Many of you look like you are the leading role of a horror film where the scene (your office) appears dimly lit, your silhouette is barely legible due to too much back lighting, and you look like a zombie thanks to a lack of emphasis on your clothing and grooming!
