Greetings Families,
We hope you are well and are getting excited for Exhibition next week! Please read the below Exhibition blurb carefully, including COVID protocols for the event. We can't wait to celebrate our students' hard work with all of you!
We also wanted to share that we will not be hosting Da Vinci Connect summer camps this year. Our staff needs to utilize their summer to rest and re-energize before returning in August. Thank you for understanding!
Finally, we are approaching the time of year that requires our 3rd-8th grade students to participate in the mandatory SBAC testing as required by the state of California. Some recent laws have changed the way we approach this state testing experience, so please look out for a special newsletter/blog from me in the coming weeks with more details. State testing is scheduled to begin during class time the week of April 25th.
Take Good Care,
Kaitlin and Tami

At-Home COVID test kits available for students!
Da Vinci has received additional at-home COVID-19 ihealth test kits. A two-pack of test kits will be available to each student and staff member and will be distributed the week of Mon April 4th at all Da Vinci School locations. We strongly encourage students to pick up a COVID test kit and self-administer prior to returning to campus after Spring Break.
School sites will have test kits for students to pick up at each school site location.
Connect K8
- Pick up your test kit (1 per student) anytime between 8:30-9:30 am M/T/TH/F 4/4-4/8
Each kit contains 2 tests. The recommendation is that parents/guardians administer one test at home to their student Sunday April 17th and the other can be kept for future use in the event they are identified as a close contact or become symptomatic.
A negative test is not required for students and staff to return to school after spring break, but in the event your child exhibits any flu-like or cold symptoms, your child should get tested and remain at home.
Students that test positive must follow the LA County Isolation guidelines and may not attend school during the required isolation period. Da Vinci School Nurse will follow up with return to school guidance for any positive results reported.
For current quarantine, isolation, and other COVID FAQs please see here.

- It is not too late to be a Curriculum Champion!
Our goal with this program is to have parents collaborate with each
other to make the most of the DV Connect Supplemental Curriculum resources. There is great value in what you do for your kid's learning every day and sharing those tips and tricks will help others to find success!
Ask yourself these questions:
1. Which piece of curriculum do I use most?
2. Which piece of curriculum does my child love?
3. Am I willing to share my knowledge (BIG or small) with others?
Use the QR Code below to take a survey to let us know what you’d like to Champion!
