Hello Recreational Families!

The holiday season is right around the corner, and we have an exciting month ahead at Elite!

This month's newsletter is packed with important information about our upcoming Holiday Gala, ticket sales, costumes, Parent Viewing Week, and other exciting events happening at the studio!

November is always such a fun and busy time as our dancers continue working hard in class and preparing to take the stage in December!

There's lots happening, so please take a few minutes to read through everything and mark those important dates on your calendar. We don't want you to miss a thing!

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

Winter weather is just around the corner! As we head into the snowy season, we want to remind our Elite families of our inclement weather policy.

The safety of our dancers, families and faculty is always our priority. In the event of inclement weather or unsafe road conditions, we may make the decision to cancel classes. As outlined in our terms and conditions, classes cancelled due to inclement weather are not subject to make-up classes.

• School closures do not automatically mean the studio is closed. We assess weather and road conditions independently and will make a decision by 2:00 PM.
• Studio closures will be communicated via email and posted on our social media pages. Please check for updates before heading to the studio. We kindly ask families to refrain from emailing about potential closures before 2:00 PM.
• No announcement means classes are running as scheduled!

We understand that road conditions can vary depending on where you are travelling from. If you feel it is unsafe to travel, please use your best judgment and notify us of your dancer's absence.

A little more info about our November Important Dates:

NOVEMBER 2026

November 9–14 – Costume Rental Fee Due & Costume Take-Home Week

The countdown to our Holiday Gala on December 6th is ON, and it’s time for costumes!

As a reminder, when you registered for the season, your dancer’s Year-End Recital costume was included in your costume fees. That costume belongs to your dancer and will be worn for Photo Day and our Year-End Recital on June 4th.

Our Holiday Gala costumes work a little differently! Rather than asking families to purchase an additional costume for our December show, Elite provides rental costumes for our dancers. This allows us to create all the holiday magic on stage without families having to purchase another full costume!

Holiday Gala Costume Rental: $50 CASH ONLY. During the week of November 9–14, please bring $50 cash with you to your dancer’s regular class. Your dancer will receive their Holiday Gala costume to take home that week, so attendance is important! Please make sure your dancer is present to receive their costume.

Please remember that these are rental costumes and are not custom-made or custom-sized for each dancer. While we do our best to provide the best fit possible, you may need to make a small temporary adjustment at home, such as pinning or adjusting straps. Please do not permanently alter, cut or damage the costume, as it must be returned to us after the show.

December 8–12 – Holiday Gala Costume Return Week

All rental costumes must be returned during this week. Once your dancer’s costume has been returned in good condition, $25 CASH will be returned to you.

NOVEMBER 12

• Holiday Gala Tickets On Sale | 12:00 PM at Ticketpro.ca
• Tickets go on sale November 12 at 12:00 PM through Ticketpro.ca. Please ensure you purchase tickets for the correct show, as each performance has a different lineup. You can check the line up here. 
• To ensure all families have a fair opportunity to purchase tickets, there will be a limit of 6 tickets per purchase for the first 24 hours. On November 13th at 12:00 PM, the remaining tickets will be released for purchase, with no ticket limit.
• Please note that Elite Danceworks has no control over the Ticketpro website or ticketing system. Ticketpro is the required ticketing platform when renting the Georgian Theatre, and we must use their services for all ticket sales.
• Ticketpro has a wonderful customer service team who are happy to assist with any questions, technical difficulties or ticket purchasing issues. For ALL ticket-related inquiries, please contact Ticketpro directly: 1-888-655-9090 or 416-645-9090

NOVEMBER 23–28

PARENT VIEWING & PARTICIPATION WEEK!

It's time for one of our favourite weeks at Elite! Parent Viewing & Participation Week is a special opportunity for our recreational families to join us inside the studio, see what their dancers have been learning and get in on the fun!

Be prepared to dance! This is an interactive experience, so come ready to move, participate and make some special memories with your dancer!

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

• ONE parent or guardian per dancer ONLY.
• No additional family members or siblings will be permitted inside the classroom.
• For the safety and comfort of all dancers, we cannot accommodate more than one parent or guardian per dancer.

We kindly ask that all families respect these guidelines so everyone can enjoy a fun, safe and positive experience! We can't wait to welcome you into our classrooms and share a little Elite magic with you!
