Where I stayed:
Falkensteiner Hotel Kronplatz, Brunico – A chic, modern retreat with ski-in/ski-out access and the kind of spa that makes you forget what day it is. The rooftop views and wellness-focused amenities were the perfect start to the journey.
Hotel Ciasa Salares, Alta Badia – A food lover’s paradise! Between their famous cheese room and chocolate cellar, I didn’t know whether to ski or eat first. Warm, family-run hospitality.
Baita Dovich Rifugio – Rustic, welcoming, and steps away from the Marmolada glacier. You wake up to crisp alpine air, the scent of fresh-baked bread, and a sunrise over snow-dusted peaks.
Hotel Gardena Grodnerhof – A five-star escape in Ortisei with Michelin-starred dining and a wellness center that rivals the views outside. An elegant, serene finale to an unforgettable trip.
I also had the pleasure to meet with Hugo Pizzinini, owner of Rosa Alpina, soon to reopen as Aman Rosa Alpina, who gave us a hard hat tour of Aman's latest property, to be unveiled this summer. Wow factor, activated.
