Dear Clinton and Kirkland Business Owners,
 
As you may be aware, a group of area merchants, community leaders, and Hamilton College representatives has been meeting regularly to identify ways to assist local businesses in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
 
One idea that surfaced was enlisting the support of Hamilton students to provide complimentary assistance with business strategy and customer engagement. These services might take the form of strategic planning, website design and development, email and social media marketing campaigns, e-commerce sites, and search engine optimization. Computer science majors and members of the Hamilton Consulting Club have different interests in these areas and varying levels of expertise, but they are willing to work with you to explore potential solutions to the challenges you face.

Hamilton College Consulting Club partnered with Resurrection Assembly of God in Clinton to come up with some strategies for advertising and reaching out to people in Kirkland and the surrounding areas. The students went beyond my expectations. They were professional, knowledgeable and most importantly they cared about what they were doing. Many times, people can be professional and knowledgeable and yet lack the passionate interest in the subject they are working on. These students were invested in the project and took it seriously. I appreciated meeting with them as they really listened to what we were looking for. They spent time researching our demographics and presented strategies for now and in the future. I have already put into practice some of their suggestions. These are things I wouldn't have naturally done but their suggestions were gold. I would highly recommend the Hamilton College Consulting Club to any church, organization or business. It was a pleasure working with them and I am grateful for the connection to these amazingly talented students.
