President's Message
I hope everyone is having a good week so far, considering our early Spring showers and storms.
There's a lot of buzz going around in the industry. If you were able to join NKBA during the virtual KBIS 2021 show, I hope you watched the State of the Association address, presented by NKBA CEO Bill Darcy. If you missed it, please visit the National site for a recap of what to expect for 2021/2022, initiatives in place for members, valuable market studies (free for members), supply and demand issues and price increases with materials and shipping, and more. Also, many of the seminars and events are On-Demand (the virtual booth portion of KBIS crashed but vendors have their own virtual showrooms to view). Hawaii's local home and building show is virtual this year and will be held next week, March 26th-28th. BIA Hawaii's Virtual BIG Home Building & Remodeling Show will include virtual vendor booths and seminars, featuring many of our Aloha Chapter members. In a couple of weeks, March 31st at 10am, we are having our NKBA meeting "Social Media 101", presented by Alyssa Greve of Cambria USA. With more businesses turning to social media for video presentations and marketing to reach homeowners, we need to stay current with technology, especially with tips and tricks to get noticed.
