Congratulations to Nancy Hoffman, Executive Director of the Chisago County HRA/EDA, who has been honored with a statewide award recognizing her exceptional leadership and lasting contributions to economic development!

Nancy has led transformative initiatives across Chisago County, including the Got Internet Campaign, the Housing Trust Fund, and the Industrial Forgivable Loan Program. Her strategic work on the Highway 8 Framework and Labor Assessment has strengthened business attraction and workforce planning.

During the COVID‑19 pandemic, Nancy oversaw the distribution of more than $3.3 million in relief funds to 274 local businesses, demonstrating remarkable dedication during a critical time. She has also expanded small‑business support services and strengthened regional collaboration through city‑township summits and her involvement in multiple statewide organizations.

With over 30 years of experience in economic development, Nancy continues to be a driving force for innovation and community growth. This award reflects her outstanding service and the significant impact she has made on Chisago County and beyond.

Our parks team has been busy grooming trails and preparing routes so you can get outside, stay active, and take in the quiet beauty of winter. Whether you’re a seasoned skier or trying snowshoeing for the first time, this is a great time to explore the outdoors.
