Ossining’s Down to Earth Farmers Market
What:
You won’t want to miss this week’s farmers market when we welcome ArtsWestchester with their traveling art studio, the ArtsMobile. Kids and adults are invited to participate in this FREE art activity from 9am to 1pm. DJ Johnny G will spin some tunes and you can drop off used textiles for recycling at the Green Tree collection bin at the back of the market. Ask the manager if you have any trouble spotting it. It’s beginning to look a lot like summer at the farm stands, with cherries, summer squash, snap dragons and the very first tomatoes now in season. And you can prep for holiday weekend cookouts with farm-fresh meats and poultry from Sunset View Farm, seafood from Pura-Vida Fisheries, and hot weather cocktail spirits from Nahmias et Fils Distillery.
