Caloosahatchee Mindfulness
As the weather warms, we begin to turn our thoughts towards summer. Since many of us take to the road during the summer months, we will be offering single-session workshops rather than a course that stretches over several weeks. We are entitling our summer offerings: The Art of Mindfulness. We will be offering a variety of workshops under this theme. We hope that you will find one or many that pique your interest. We will list the names and dates of the workshops below with more details available on our website.

Much Metta,
Maggie

Mindfulness Practice Opportunities
Walking Meditation Group

Walking in nature is a way to bring awareness to the present moment and all the beauty that surrounds you, and can be a form of walking meditation. Thich Nhat Hanh says that the practice of mindful walking is a profound and pleasurable way to deepen our connection with our body and the earth.

In June, we will walk in the beautiful Six Mile Cypress Slough in Fort Myers. We will meet in front of the Interpretive Center. This walk will be led by yoga teacher and Board member, Valarie Olsen. There's always a lovely breeze at the park.

This is a free offering through Caloosahatchee Mindfulness.
Guests are welcome.

This is our last walk until cooler temperatures return in the fall.

Dream Work

“All dreams come in the service of health and wholeness,” said Jeremy Taylor, UU minister and author of several books on dreaming, including “The Wisdom of Your Dreams, Using Dreams to Tap into Your Unconscious and Transform Your Life.”  Debra Leigh, a certified dream work facilitator (Marin Institute for Projective Dream Work) will lead a six-week session of dream work on Saturdays beginning April 15 to May 20th. 10:45 am-12:15 pm in classroom 2 on the UUCFM campus, 13411 Shire Ln, Ft. Myers, FL 33912.

A $20.00 fee for non-members and a $15.00 fee for members covers materials and donations to UUCFM and Caloosahatchee Mindfulness. A limited number of scholarships are available by contacting the facilitator Debra Leigh: (831) 818-1418 or dreamrookery7@gmail.com.
Introduction to Spiritual Friends
at Six Mile Cypress Slough,
May 20, 10 am - 1 pm

Participants will take part in mindfulness activities. A discussion will be held to determine people's interest in establishing spiritual friends group (s).

Spiritual Friends groups commit to meeting regularly with peer-led small groups of people who share an interest in meditation and the Buddhist path—an opportunity to develop deep roots in the practice, together.
Maggie Stevens and Ken Laszczych are the facilitators for this FREE event.

A Parking Fee is required at Six Mile Cypress of $1 an hour or $5 for the day.

So come relax and calm the mind and body, and practice meditation and deep listening together with us.

Did you know that Caloosahatchee Rising Tide Sangha is listed in Thich Nhat Hanh's Plum Village Global Sangha Directory?
