Meadowbrook Road Bike Trail Extension - NEW Update

On Sunday May 17, 2026, the congregation voted to approve the sale of 3,085 sqr feet of Galilee's property along Meadowbrook Road to facilitate the construction of the Meadowbrook Road Bike Trail extension.  At the Congregation Meeting on Sunday October 11, 2026, I shared a message I received from the City Engineer that at a Public Works Committee meeting on September 24, the City decided not to purchase Galilee's property because the Bike Trail extension would not extend north of College Ave because they could not acquire land at the northeast corner of College Ave and Meadowbrook Rd.. The City needed the land on this corner to make the trail meet Federal Regulations in order to obtain the grant funds for the Trail.  I then received an email from the City representative on October 15 that the City changed plans and now wants to purchase the 3,085 sqr feet of Galilee's property since they now plan to construct the bike trail past Galilee up to Homestead Dr. using City funds for the project from College Ave to Homestead Dr. I signed the property sale documents on October 21, 2026. As of now, construction is planned to occur during summer of 2027 or 2028

Thanks, Steve Dethloff

Freezer Meals Replenished

Pam Graham, Susan Keller, Viv Dethloff, and Ann Dee Austin made freezer meals and replenished our supply recently. They made a chicken spaghetti and an Italian wedding soup. Meals are in the small freezer in the kitchen and the chest freezer in the storage room off the gathering place.

Take one to a friend who needs a boost, is ill, or has any need or problem.

Are you wearing your name tag for Worship?

A skit was given recently at Saturday and Sunday services about wearing your name tag when you come to church. It helps others know your name so the don't have to refer to you as "the guy in the 3rd pew." It was a fun skit starring Bob, who people were calling Gary until he put on his name tag. If you need a new name tag like the one on the right, please add your name to the list by the mailboxes so Holly can make a replacement for you. Thanks to all who were in and helped with this skit. Sandy West, Mary Winter, Jim Olia, Ann Dee Austin, Steve and Viv Dethloff, Genise Troutman, and anyone I may have forgotten!! -Susan Keller
