JRB FINANCIAL PULSE

June 2025 — Issue #86

A Word from the CEO

At the JRB, our goal is to provide you — our participants — with the information needed to make prudent investment decisions and build long-term financial security. Use our education and guidance to gain insights into your investment strategy and build your investment portfolio.

Our website, along with this newsletter and our financial consultations are the tools we use to achieve this goal.

In that spirit, we proudly introduce a redesigned website. The new website is both more visually engaging and organized more effectively so you can find the Learning Center information you need on financial planning, plan benefits, the parsonage allowance, taxes, Social Security, generating retirement income and many other topics.

The redesign also gives our participants — rabbis, cantors, executive directors, educators and administrative staff — an opportunity to tell you how they have worked with the JRB to build financial security. These testimonials also explain why it is important to start saving for retirement early, even if you start small.

Take a look and use the email link below to let us know what you think. We appreciate your feedback.

Since the beginning of the year, investment markets have been extremely volatile. The S&P 500 has lost — and then regained — nearly 17%. For those in their mid-20s to mid-50s, time is on your side. Since 1926, investment markets have shown positive results in every 15-year overlapping period. But how should someone in their 60s or older react? See our article, Managing Market Volatility Near Retirement, for a prudent perspective.

If you have comments on our website redesign, a question about how to manage market volatility near retirement or want to schedule a financial consultation, please contact us via email or call us at 888-JRB-FREE (572-3733).
