"Success means doing the best we can with what we have. Success is the doing, not the getting; in the trying, not the triumph. Success is becoming all we can be.”
Zig Ziglar
Dear Southern Door Community,
This past week, I couldn’t help but think of the impact the journey of earning success has on our students, our staff, and ultimately, our community. This Friday our Eagle Nation takes flight with excitement as our boys basketball team plays Kiel in the regional semi-finals at home. Let’s pack that Eagle Gym!
One of the joys of working in a school, is the often fresh perspective that children bring to our world. Recently, an elementary child shared with their teacher that Elsa (from Frozen) was the cause of all the snowstorms this winter. Smiles!! As winter still is unpredictable, the one constant we do know is that we have wonderful students here at Southern Door, who now want to be in school rather than off again for another snow day.
Our staff remain dedicated to providing quality instruction day, in and day out. We appreciate the role our families and community bring to our partnership in the education of our community's children. As we round the turn to the final quarter of the school year, let us be reminded that success, for each of us, is really in the journey we take together in helping our students be the best they can be.
Together with students, families and community, we are Eagle Strong and Eagle Proud!
Patti
Patricia Vickman, Superintendent
