The Healing of the Nations
by the Reverend Peter D. Thompson, Vicar and Interim Rector
With the arrival of Memorial Day this coming Monday, this weekend marks the unofficial start of summer. But it also provides us with an important opportunity to honor the dead and reflect on the ongoing horror of war. The United States, at least officially, is not at war right now, yet conflicts are currently raging in Ukraine, Gaza, and many other places throughout the world. This Sunday, John of Patmos will present us with an alternative vision of a serene and holy city in which all the nations live together in harmony and peace. How do we get to that city? When will God make John’s vision real? I wish I knew. But I do know that we can’t afford to lose sight of the vision John offers us. We must have faith that we will walk those streets one day.

Critically hailed both on and off-Broadway, this wildly comic murder-mystery pokes fun at the more ridiculous aspects of “show biz” and the corny thrillers of Hollywood’s heyday. It’s a non-stop barrage of laughter as a cast of characters untangles the mystery of the “Stage Door Slasher.” Purchase tickets and learn more.
