Class of 2027 Students & Parents/Guardians, 

Now that the school year is fully underway, we want to share the important dates for events that celebrate the Class of 2027.

Last Day for Classes for Seniors: Wednesday, May 19, 2027

*Seniors are exempt from second semester final exams 

Senior Scholarship Night: Wednesday, May 19, 2027 

Reber Auditorium at North Campus, 7:00pm

*Attendance by invitation 

Prom: Thursday, May 20, 2027

Prom will be held on Thursday, May 20th at the Field Museum. Prom is scheduled from 8:00pm - 11:00pm (time is subject to change) and the Post Prom Cruise will be from 11:45pm - 2:30am.  

Seniors will attend an informational meeting on March 17th, 2027 for details about this year’s Prom.

*Please note that we will be communicating a payment plan option for students/families that wish to start the process of paying for prom in advance of ticket sales opening on March 28th, 2027. More details will be shared within the next few weeks.  

Graduation: Commencement: Wednesday, May 26, 2027 at 7:00pm, Bennett Field

Mandatory Rehearsal: Tuesday, May 25th, South Campus Fieldhouse (Time TBD)

We will be continuing the tradition of hosting Commencement on Bennett Field. In the event of rain/inclement weather on May 26th, the ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 27th on Bennett Field. In the event of rain/inclement weather on May 26th and May 27th, LTHS will hold the ceremony on Friday, May 28th on Bennett Field. 

Please note, that in the event of inclement weather throughout the course of the week, LTHS may determine it necessary to move Commencement into the North Campus Fieldhouse. This will occur if we determine that the weather forecast does not allow for an outdoor graduation.

Cap and Gown ordering info:

On September 10th, all senior students attended presentations during their study hall about cap and gown ordering. While students submitted their sizing preferences during that meeting, they did not place their orders. To do so, students or parents can go to the Herff Jones website or call 815-756-4743 and place their order by November 1st.
