SEED Grant Program: Solicitation of Written Comment NHDOE requests written comments from public schools, energy companies, and the public on improving the SEED Grant Program. This federally funded competitive grant program offers a one-time grant to a public school for energy efficiency projects. You should submit written comments by March 19, though written comments will be accepted after that date. Find the solicitation notice and instructions in our newsletter. NHDOE will hold a stakeholder session via Microsoft Teams on March 20, to discuss the comments NHDOE received and collect any additional feedback from interested parties. SAVE-THE-DATE: 13th State Energy Conference (SEC) Registration is Now Open for the 13th State Energy Conference (SEC), Wednesday, April 10th -- Join your peers and colleagues for this 1-day conference that is FREE and open to all state employees (with their supervisor’s approval) and members of the General Court. Event takeaways will include practical approaches, tools, and resources for attendees to help their agencies and organizations reach their energy goals. The SEC supports and spotlights the New Hampshire state government’s efforts to manage its overall energy and material consumption to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels in state properties, facilities, and fleets. The conference is intended to be inspirational and practical for those already engaged in energy and management and those interested in getting more involved. Join us at the Edward Cross Training Center in Pembroke for all or part of the day-long program:
• Continental breakfast, coffee, and lunch will be provided;
• Keynote speakers, panel discussions, and case studies are all on the agenda;
• Vendor hall to highlight energy-efficient products and technology; and

Artist Entrepreneurial Grants recognize the importance of the creative workforce to New Hampshire’s economy. Artist Entrepreneurial Grants support opportunities that will benefit artists’ careers and small businesses, including the development of business skills, participation in programs to raise the level and quality of their art, and participation in programs that will bring their art to the widest possible markets. This grant funds up to $2,500. Match is not required. Applications are accepted quarterly, with deadlines on May 3, August 2, November 1, 2024, and February 7, 2025.

Free Program Available For New Hampshire Business Owners
The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program is now accepting applications for the Fall 2024 Cohort. Since 2019, this free program has helped business owners from all across the state strategize and create business growth for their companies. Goldman Sachs funds the program. The Foundation is a not-for-profit organization hosted by the New Hampshire Community College System. Through the program, participants learn the skills they need to scale their businesses for growth. The program includes support from the program faculty and a 1:1 business advisor who helps the scholars work on their business growth plans.
The multi-week program is mostly virtual, with only two weeks required onsite at Manchester Community College. Hotel accommodations and meals are provided for the required onsite days, so there is never any cost to the business owners.

Maple Weekend! March 16 & 17
Warner Town Hall is Maple Central. Pick up a brochure of events, restaurants, and sugar houses to visit!
Breakfast Saturday and Sunday from 7:30-11:00 a.m. at a new location, Warner Town Hall, lower level. Plain and blueberry waffles, pancakes, scrambled eggs, home fries, baked beans, sausage, and beverages. $12 for adults, children 7 – 12, $5 six and under free. Help judge the maple syrup contenders in the third annual event sponsored by the Warner Historical Society, 9 am to 1 pm both days upstairs in the town hall.
The Pillsbury Library will have a make-and-take craft on Saturday, March 16, from 9-1:30, and local Sugar Houses will be open, including Kearsarge Gore Farm, Rogers' Maple Syrup, and Courser Farm Sugarhouse.
Artist Denise Green plans an open house (just before Kearsarge Gore Farm).
Warner's restaurants will most likely also have maple-themed offerings.
Maple Day at Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum will be Saturday, March 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be traditional maple syrup-making demonstrations, historical displays, storytelling at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., a maple bake sale, acorn pancake samples, and more. The museum and gift shop will be open.
Yankee Farmer's Market is celebrating NH Maple Weekend at the farm store on Saturday, March 16th, from 9 to 4! Stop by for free samples of maple products, fun farm activities, sales, and more at 360 New Hampshire Rte 103 (East), Warner.

KACC is looking for people to join our Board. We are an all-volunteer Board. We keep meetings to a minimum. Most of our collaboration is done via email. You can put in as much or as little time as you'd like to. We are looking for people with ideas about how to help our local businesses prosper. Now is a great time to join the chamber! The cost to join is $50 for non-profits and most businesses. Businesses with five or more staff (we never count the owners) pay $99.
The membership period is 12 months from the date of joining. New members receive an initial 18 months of membership. Every business you refer that joins the chamber gets an additional four months added to your membership. There is no limit to how many members you can refer.
Joining is easy at Store.KearsargeChamber.org. We'll do all the work to get the info needed for your listing and then have you review the result.
