Good Morning Folks,

Here we are, completing the first quarter of a new year, and fifteen days or so to file our tax returns. We also completed our first week of Spring after an amazingly warm Winter here in the Coachella and Imperial Valleys. As many of you, I hope for milder temperatures for the rest of the Spring and into our blazing summer months.

We (the events committee and staff) are working to lock down events through the end of the year. Besides the April Events (Flyers attached below), we are working on a May luncheon with the City of Palm Springs at the Escena Golf Club, a Membership Dinner in Brawley to discuss economic opportunities in the Imperial County, the DVBA Anniversary and Member Appreciation Party in June, Bowling in August, the Golf Classic in November, and the DVBA Holiday and Installation Dinner in December. We hope these events interest you, as more are coming in between. Click on the links below for the April Public Officials Luncheon with Riverside County speaking to Transportation Plans and the elusive Passenger Rail Service for the Coachella Valley, and Networking at D.R. Horton’s model homes, The Collection at Campanile.

Don’t forget our monthly Legislative Affairs Forum this Thursday at the Rancho Mirage City Hall, front conference room. DVBA provides the Fruit and Donuts, and the City provides the Coffee. These meetings start at 7:30 am and finish before 9 am. Promptly at 9:00 am, the Professional Women in Building take over the room to discuss the ever-growing opportunities for women in careers relating to the construction industry.
