Support Sanibel's Workforce:

9 AM, March 31st, 800 Dunlop Rd.

A Unified Struggle: Recent survey data from local businesses—ranging from retail and restaurants to essential nonprofits and professional services— reveals a shared crisis. The overwhelming majority report that hiring employees is "Very Difficult" or "Extremely Difficult".

"Overall, workforce housing contributes to a higher quality of life by making daily living more manageable, reducing stress, and allowing me to invest more energy into both my personal and professional growth."

Call to Action: The testimonies of these workers—ranging from construction trades to hospitality, retail, and nonprofits—prove that CHR is indispensable for workers to live well on the island. We urge the City Council to recognize that workforce housing is not just about buildings; it is the heartbeat of Sanibel's recovering and thriving community, and to fully support the Riverview II initiative.
