JR. LEADER NEWS

The Arapahoe County 4-H Jr. Leaders participated in the Trails Park and Recreation District Annual Touch-A-Truck event. We had great attendance and it keeps growing each year. The Jr. Leaders did an amazing job talking to the public about the Arapahoe County 4-H Program. A big thank you to Robert Chiu for providing the riding lawnmower for the past 3 years. The lawnmower is very popular with the younger kiddos.

ARAPAHOE COUNTY 4-H FOUNDATION

REMINDER

Evergreen Sale information has been sent to all Arapahoe County 4-H members and leaders. Each member should have received a member/parent letter, one brochure (copy of the order form that is online) and a copy of the member order tally sheet.

An Online order form is available. Just simply click on the image above to visit the Arapahoe County 4-H Foundation page to access the electronic 4-H member form. When you send it out to potential customers, friends, and family, make sure you let them know that they need to put your name on the order form with your e-mail address and return it to you at your e-mail address or mail it to you. Also give them your telephone number in case they have a question.

Please begin taking orders October 1, 2026

If you have not received your sale information packet, contact Kathy, 303-919-2177. A number of letters have been returned.

Oct. 1 – 28     4-H members sell wreaths, centerpieces, swag, boughs and garland using the member order forms.

Wednesday, Oct. 28 Members give orders to club Fund Raising Chairperson. (Contact your club organizational leader if you have questions.)

The mission of the Arapahoe County 4-H Foundation is to provide financial resources and program support for 4-H youth and leaders of Arapahoe County. The Foundation:

  • Provides education, recognition and leadership opportunities for both youth and adults
  • Provides college scholarships
  • Financially enhances the scope of 4-H programs beyond that which public funds can provide
  • Provide support for the recruitment and retention of 4-H members and leaders

We do all of this through regular fundraising, the most visible of which is the annual Wreath Sale.

Another fundraiser is our Friends of 4-H Letter, which we typically send each year in September. For the past few years, we’ve featured a recent high school graduate - this year’s letter highlights Audrey Harrell.

We’d like to expand our outreach and that’s where you can help. We’re looking for new names to add to our mailing list – whether friends and family, other organizations, local businesses, or others – and we hope that each family can contribute at least 2 new names to our mailing list.

Please share those names with Shaylen or Hannah, and they’ll make sure that they’re sent to the correct member of the 4-H Foundation.

We greatly appreciate your ongoing and amazing support – which helps the Foundation support the marvelous 4-Hers in Arapahoe County!
