The calls to help cats/kittens just keep coming into PALS and we are in desperate need of foster homes; this week alone, we rescued multiple cats.
All you need is a small, quiet space (ie, guest room, extra bathroom), away from people and other animals, where your new foster cat will feel safe and acclimate to their temporary environment. PALS will assist you with suggestions on setting up your dedicated space.
Once your foster cat is settled and ready to explore, you can allow them to share space with others in the home.
PALS will also help set you up with food, litter, beds, and toys from our inventory of donated supplies. All vet costs are covered by PALS.
If you think you may get attached, you may, but it’s an amazing thing you’ll be doing, saving a life and helping them find their forever home. Your involvement also helps us to learn more about their personality to ensure the right fit with potential adopters.
For every kitten/cat placed in a foster home, we are able to rescue another and, for every one that is adopted, another opening is created in a foster home.
