What an incredible night! Thanks to your generosity, support, and participation, the 2026 Greater Los Angeles Scouting Good Character Gala was truly an evening to remember.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us to celebrate the power of Scouting and the people who make a lasting difference in our communities. The evening was a powerful reminder of why our mission matters and how investing in young people today helps shape the leaders of tomorrow.

One meaningful moment of the evening was hearing from Scoutmaster Mark Montoya about the impact Scouting has had on his family and the youth he serves throughout Los Angeles. His story was a wonderful reminder that Scouting is about more than outdoor adventures; it is about building character, creating opportunities, and helping young people reach their full potential.

We were equally inspired by Karina Veloz, whose experience in the Exploring program helped prepare her for a career serving others. At just 20 years old, Karina is putting the skills she developed through her work with the Los Angeles County Fire Department into action as an EMT, helping save lives in our community. We cannot wait to see all that she accomplishes in the years ahead!

The evening also celebrated two outstanding community leaders, Craig Darian and Nathan Hochman, who were honored with the Good Character Awards for their exceptional contributions to our communities. Their fireside chat, hosted by Fritz Coleman, brought thoughtful conversation ranging from the future of artificial intelligence to the lasting impact Scouting can have on young people as they grow into tomorrow's leaders.

And, of course, we could not have celebrated this incredible evening without you!

Thanks to your generosity, we raised over $300,000 to support Scouting programs throughout Greater Los Angeles. Your contributions help provide young people with opportunities to develop leadership skills, build confidence, serve their communities, and discover what they are capable of achieving.
