Flood Warning in Effect Until April 4

The Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) has issued a Flood Warning for the area. This bulletin is in effect for watersheds across the Township of Lake of Bays until Friday, April 4, 2025.

Residents should expect water levels to increase: flooding is anticipated to varying degrees as a significant three-day rainfall, freezing rain, snow pellets and snow event moves through the area.

Residents and those visiting the area are advised to be aware of current watershed conditions. Higher than normal water levels and flow conditions are anticipated to develop throughout the area and residents are reminded to keep a close watch on weather conditions, regularly check for updated messages, and exercise caution near fast-moving rivers and streams.

Freezing Rain Warning in Effect

The District of Muskoka has issued a freezing rain severe weather warning beginning Friday, March 28th, through to Sunday, March 30th.

• Get your 72-hour emergency kit ready
• Charge your devices and check your flashlights

• Store extra water and non-perishable food
• Avoid travel if possible during peak storm conditions
