🌷 Welcome Spring With Fresh Energy, Fresh Ideas, and New Growth! 🌞
Spring is a wonderful reminder that growth takes time, care, and the right environment. This week, we invite you to welcome the new season with renewed joy, patience, and purpose in your classroom.
Every circle time, every kind word, every lesson, and every moment of support you give helps children bloom in their own unique way. As the days grow brighter, may this week bring you fresh inspiration, creative ideas, and encouragement for the meaningful work you do each day.

🌱 Spring Into New Opportunities:
Indiana Preschool Teachers & Families: Share Your Voice (Purdue University Study)
| | |
The Social-emotional Health in Nurturing Environments (SHINE) Lab at Purdue University is currently recruiting participants for their ongoing study. They are currently exploring teacher and parent perspectives on social-emotional well-being and mental health risk in early childhood (IRB # 2025-908).
This study includes a brief, confidential survey for teachers and parents related to their research. There is also an optional interview component. All participation is completely voluntary and fully virtual. To thank participants for their time and effort in contributing to their research, they will receive $30 for completion of the surveys. Those selected for a virtual interview will receive an additional $40. The researchers hope that these findings will support early identification and action for social-emotional health, especially addressing risks early on.
The SHINE Lab is recruiting two groups of participants: 1. Preschool teachers who currently work with children between the ages of 3-5 in a preschool program in Indiana • 2. Parents/caregivers of a child between the ages of 3-5 who is currently enrolled in a preschool program in Indiana

💡 Spring tip for inclusivity: Try introducing these as “family traditions in the spring season” or “spring celebrations around the world,” and invite families to optionally share a favorite food, song, greeting, or tradition. This helps every child feel seen, valued, and included. 💛🌸
| | 🌤️💙 Spring Through Big Feelings
| | |
Big feelings do not disappear just because the weather is brighter. In fact, transitions, changing routines, and extra excitement can bring out a lot of emotions in young children.
This week’s reminder:
- name feelings clearly
- model calm breathing
- offer cozy spaces for regulation
- use simple phrases like “You are safe” and “I can help”
- celebrate progress, not perfection 🌷
Children bloom best when they feel emotionally safe. 🤗
