Dear Friends of the Boys & Girls Club of Fitchburg and Leominster,

We are moving forward with our Great Futures 5K as a Virtual 5k! This is the Club's "Signature Event", the only fundraiser we hold each year. Cancelling the event because of COVID-19 was not an option and we are glad we did not.

We have been diligently working on recreating our Great Futures 5k from an onsite, 1 day event to a Virtual event spanning 2 weeks. You can run or walk on treadmills, run or walk in their neighborhoods. There are so many ways to you can participate and having more than 1 day to do so!
Event sponsorship, registration for runners, walkers, teams and Corporate Cup Teams can all be done on our new 5K website by clicking the logo to the left.

Set a fundraising goal when you register!

Ask people to sponsor you and/or your team! Everyone and every team can! Earn medals for different activities. Stream and create videos for your pages.
Have some fun!
Event sponsorship this year will be $3,000. We will not have different levels of sponsorship this year. Sponsorship will include a Corporate Cup team. Appearance on the Great Futures 5K website along with URL to your company website. Sponsorship will also include name and logo on the Great Futures 5K tee shirt, all participants will receive.
We also plan media exposure, social and traditional.

You can run or walk as individuals and/or you can be sponsored by friends, family, peers, fellow employees as many people as you want to approach and from as far away as you want to reach. We can accept currency from around the world! We are planning to give the traditional medals for female and male participants 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place as well as the coveted Trophy. We will award additional medals for the most social media used to fund raise, the most funds raised by individual or team participation, also medals for individuals living the farthest away, teams and or Corporate Cup teams from the farthest away. I plan to contact family in New Zealand and France as well as around the U.S. to participate.

Registration fees for the 5K are:
  • Adult 18+ $ 30
  • Masters $ 20
  • Elementary $ 15
  • Middle and High School $ 15
  • Corporate Cup $ 500 (if not an event sponsor. Event sponsors receive Corporate Cup team benefit with $3,000 sponsorship)

If you would like to make a donation and not participate, you can do that as well. Please share this option with others as well.

I hope virtual races will not be the new normal. I will miss getting together, seeing you and sharing in the barbecue and the music!

Share this event so that every member has a chance at a Great Future!

Go Great Futures!!
