Dear Lower School Families,
Welcome to another wonderful school year in the Columbus Academy Lower School! It has been such a pleasure seeing the hallways filled with eager students once again this week. With all of the excitement, we would like to send a note regarding bus conduct this school year.
In order to ensure the bus remains a safe and welcoming form of transportation, we have shared the following expectations with students:
- Stay in your seat at all times while the bus is moving
- Use CARES
- No eating or drinking on the bus
- Talk quietly with indoor voice
-
No taking of photos with school or personal device
In the event these guidelines are not followed, the following steps will be taken:
- Students will first receive a Bus Rider’s Think Sheet
- The second instance will result in a Viking Code
- The third instance will result in the loss of bus transportation to and from school temporarily or permanently, depending on the severity of the situation
Helping students take responsibility for their behavior is a priority of ours this school year. We believe our Vikings will rise to the occasion!
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. scowdenk@columbusacademy.org.
Best,
Keith Scowden
