The KNN Learning Consortium Launches in 2025

The Kern National Network for Flourishing in Medicine (KNN) is excited to introduce the KNN FOREST: Fostering Opportunities for Relationships, Education, Scholarship and Transformation.

Launching this year, the KNN FOREST is a learning ecosystem, home to relational learning through virtual and in-person experiences — webinars, workshops, courses, and more — with a focus on deeply grounding participants in the KNN Framework and creating a strong foundation for embracing, embodying, and embedding its elements.

Tap into a transformative community where you can:

  • Learn with and from one another
  • Forge relationships with peers nationally
  • Explore practical strategies for advancing flourishing
  • Build your capacity to transform systems through learning experiences

Throughout 2025, the KNN will launch new experiences regularly and we invite you to be among the first to find out about new opportunities.

The KNN Partners with Alpha Omega Alpha

In partnership with the national Alpha Omega Alpha (AΩA) Honor Medical Society, the KNN will sponsor an AΩA Richard L. Byyny Fellow in Leadership for the 2025-2026 program cycle. The collaboration will advance leadership development efforts that encourage excellence, a spirit of service and a human-centered approach.

The KNN-supported Fellow will embark on a year-long project surrounding leadership for flourishing in medicine, integrating the principles of character, caring and practical wisdom toward flourishing. As part of the program experience, this Fellow will receive mentoring and development through the KNN, including opportunities to contribute to national efforts to transform the culture of medicine, such as virtual seminars, KNN communities of practice and other avenues for engagement.

The application deadline is March 11, 2025, and awardees will be announced on May 16, 2025. Midcareer AΩA members who are interested in this opportunity should visit the fellowship program site for full details and to submit their materials for initial qualification screening.
