Prayer List

During the days ahead, may

"the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds."

(Philippians 4:7)

This week we pray for:

*Please note the corrected spelling of David Broehl's name, below. We apologize for the original error.

Kathleen Paul, Linda Barbu's sister
Prayers for strength and comfort for Kathleen who was recently diagnosed with ductal cancer.

Bill Iams, Bob Iams' twin brother
Prayers for Bill who was hospitalized again in North Canton.

Joe Lee's cousin Natasha and her family
Natasha lost her husband to cancer. Prayers for Natasha and her children Lauren, Matthew and Ryan as they grieve the death of husband/dad.

Family of David Broehl
Prayers for comfort for the family of David Broehl who passed away last week. David was a beloved longtime friend of Westminster Church.

Ralph and Ruth, friends Juli Gillespie
Ralph, aged 79, was put in hospice care. Prayers for him and his wife Ruth and their 4 adult children during this time.

Continued prayers for all at the College of Wooster and at schools in our community as they continue to grapple with challenges related to rising numbers of Covid infections.

Prayers for those who struggle with isolation due to the pandemic... many in care facilities like Danbury that have to bar in-person visits; who miss the comfort of a hug or hand shake; whose emotional and mental health is affected by the lack of in-person contact.

Prayers for all of those affected by the new waves of Covid-19 infections in this country and across the world. This week we especially pray for those affected in Holmes county; for the healthcare workers as they strive to care for the large number of new patients stretching the capacity of the local hospital.

May each of us do everything to protect the wellbeing and safety of others.

During this election season, as we are overwhelmed with so much divisive rhetoric, we pray for wisdom and guidance so our faith community could show love and compassion in the face of hatred.

Prayer Request and Privacy Laws

Please note, that because of government privacy laws, hospitals and care centers no longer are allowed to notify churches that a person has been admitted (even if the person lists their home church at admission). The only way that the church staff will know if someone is hospitalized is if a family member or friend lets us know. We'd rather get 20 calls about the same person than none! Thanks for your help in making Westminster a caring community. Contact the Westminster Office by phone 330-263-2398 or email to notify the church if you or someone you know is hospitalized or otherwise in need of our prayers!
