The Cowley County Chapter of Women for Kansas welcomes Tom Langer, Director of the Winfield/Cowley County Health Department to our August 9th meetup event beginning at 10:00AM in the City Hall Community Room, 200 E. 9th Avenue, Winfield.
Mr. Langer is uniquely qualified to speak on city/county health issues as he has been in the role of Director here in our county for over 10 years. Previously Mr. Langer had gained extensive experience in the health field working in Topeka for state agencies and other employers.
Mr. Langer will apprise our audience of how the number of policy changes in President Trump’s huge Budget Bill
will affect all of us here in Winfield and Cowley County.
He will expand on what the future would look like while living under the new changes that are being planned for Kansas.
Background information on our department’s unique
funding sources will be shared. Adding to this, Langer
will trace the history of our department as
compared to other departments across the state.
The presentation will end with suggestions on how we
each might assist him and his staff in sharing information
with our family and friends.
