Welcome, July!

Summer is a season for slowing down, reconnecting, and finding small ways to care for yourself and your family.

Whether that means spending more time outside, creating easier routines at home, or making space for rest, we hope this month brings moments of balance, renewal, and fun.

Small systems can make a big difference this summer...

Managing ADHD at home doesn't always require big changes. Sometimes the simplest routines have the greatest impact.

In this video, Angela Eddy, LPC, NCC shares practical ways families can reduce stress and make evenings run more smoothly, including creating simple dinner routines, keeping easy meals on hand, using shared grocery lists, and making daily routines more visible.

Even in the summer, small systems can help reduce decision fatigue and make home life feel more manageable for everyone.

BCBSM's new policy and how it will impact care

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan's recent decision to stop reimbursing services provided by limited licensed clinicians has significant implications for patients, providers, and the future of the behavioral health workforce.

At RCBM, we've long believed in training and mentoring the next generation of mental health professionals, and we're deeply concerned about how this policy will affect care access across our state.

In this month's blog, Dr. Young shares his perspective on why this decision matters and what it could mean for the future of mental health care in Michigan.
