JUNIORS TAKE SAT

MARCH 10TH

Freshman, Sophomores & Seniors will have a remote learning day.

In order to provide a quiet testing space for our Juniors to take the state Digital SAT and to allow all staff members to help us monitor the testing site, we are providing remote learning to all other students (9th, 10th and 12th graders) on Tuesday, March 10th. All Juniors, including DACC full-day Juniors, will be the only students in the building on that Tuesday along with any students taking the Accuplacer for Marion Technical College. (Those students will be notified if they are testing.) Our teachers will be providing assignments for our other students to work on at home that day.

Transportation for Juniors and DACC AM & Full Day students only will be provided at the regular morning times. Buses will take Juniors home around 11:30am to their closest elementary school. Lunch will be provided by our wonderful food service staff.  There will be bus service available for students requiring extended time on the tests at 2:30pm.

Juniors, don’t forget the following information about the SAT:

  • You will be able to find your testing location by checking your email or seeing the room assignments posted outside the Counseling Office, 2000 Restrooms or 2100 Restrooms.
  • Be in your assigned testing location by 7:25 AM.
  • Bring a CHARGED school Chromebook, if already checked out. Chromebooks will be available for those that do not have them.
  • Bring a snack & water
  • Bring your graphing calculator
  • Bring your school ID or driver’s license
  • Bring Two #2 Pencils
  • Dress in layers in case rooms are too hot or too cold for you
  • Remember to leave cell phones and smart watches turned off in your backpacks
  • Results will be available in your CollegeBoard account on April 2nd.

Best of Luck to you on the SAT!

Immunization Requirement for Incoming 12th Graders

Immunization Requirement: Meningococcal vaccine is required for all 12th graders enrolled in Delaware City Schools for the 2026-2027 school year.

Ohio law mandates that all students have two doses of the meningococcal vaccine prior to entering the 12th grade. If the first dose was given on or after the 16th birthday, a second dose is not required.

If your child has not yet received these vaccinations, please schedule to have it administered now. You can find information on the Delaware Public Health District website at: https://www.delawarehealth.org/ about the schedule of vaccination clinics, or you can call them at (740) 368-1700 to make an appointment. Meningococcal vaccines are also available through your child's doctor, local pharmacies, and clinics.

Students who have already had the second dose of the meningococcal vaccine should turn in documentation, or an exemption letter from a parent or physician now. Please call the clinic if you have any questions about the vaccine or your child's current immunization record at school The clinic direct line is 740-833-1019. The school fax number is 740-833-1099.
