"Be content with what you have;

rejoice in the way things are.

When you realize there is nothing lacking,

the whole world belongs to you."

Dear Students and Friends,

I hope you are well and your Thanksgiving weekend has offered some real space to rest, reconnect, or simply breathe.

This stretch of days carries its own mix of activity and emotion. It can lift us up, and it can also weigh on the body and mind in ways we only notice afterward.

If any part of this time feels heavier than you expected, you are not alone.

One thing I continue to see, in myself and in others, is that simple practices of awareness and gentle movement can shift this inner momentum. A few mindful breaths. A quiet pause. A return to feeling yourself from the inside out.

These moments restore clarity and help you meet the season with a steadier presence.

In that spirit, and as an expression of thanks to you, I want to share a few offerings that may support you in the weeks ahead.

Two Free Holiday Mini-Retreat Classes

I will be offering two complimentary online mini-retreat sessions online via Zoom during the holiday break:

Holiday Wholeness: Breathe, Move, and Be Restored

Sunday, December 21 from 9 to 11 am

Movement and Mindful Foundations: Resolve to Evolve Body and Mind

Sunday, December 28 from 9 to 11 am

Each session will include gentle somatic movement, simple breathing practices, guided meditation, and practical tools to help release the tension that often builds this time of year.

To join either session, simply use this Zoom link: Join Via Zoom

You can join from home and move at your own pace. If you know someone who appreciates slow, mindful, somatic-style movement, you are welcome to invite them as well.

If you have questions about the retreats or how to participate, please contact me here.

Holiday Yoga and Movement Series

If you have been considering joining the Holiday Yoga and Movement Series, the session began this morning, Sunday November 29, and continues through February 4, 2026.

With the two free mini-retreats included during the class hiatus, it is a supportive way to stay centered as we move through the season.

Meeting the Season with Care

Having the best time this season can be as simple as noticing when stress begins to settle in your body and giving yourself a moment to interrupt that momentum. Many of us do not realize how the body and mind hold themselves on deep, often hidden levels. When these inner holdings have a chance to soften, there is more room.to move, breathe, and meet the season with a lighter presence. Even small moments of awareness can invite that sense of ease back in.

I look forward to supporting your journey this holiday season and beyond.

Namaste,

Alan
