Our heart goes out to all on the East Coast being affected by #HurricaneIan. Around 250,000 people are expected to be displaced by this storm, many with their family pets. We want to be prepared for when they inevitably reach out to us for help. Please consider donating to help ease the suffering of an ill or injured pet belonging to a person experiencing homelessness.

Inflation is at an all-time high. For a nonprofit, we cannot increase our prices like a for-profit company. Our services are free to people experiencing homelessness. 

The last twelve months have seen a tremendous increase in emergency veterinary cases that we have paid directly to hospitals. Even with discounts, our costs have increased.  

We have seen the price of a PARVO case increase from an average of $339.80 to $954.81 a 181% increase. Lab work averaged $151.86 and is now up to $198.95, a 31% increase. A hospital stay per night averaged $147.78 and is now $224.36, a 52% increase. These increases are before generous discounts by our active network of veterinary hospitals.  

Year to date revenue is down 52.4% and expenses are up 125.5%
