Mission Vision Statement

In service to Christ, this intentionally inclusive congregation feeds the body, mind, and spirit, gives strength, and shines God's light wherever there is darkness. We are a beacon of hope and inspiration. This ministry is open, affirming, inviting, and accessible to all. We extend love and extravagant welcome to all of God’s children without judgment, no matter who they are or where they are on life’s journey. We embolden everyone to live out their faith, to engage in ministry, to witness, and to serve.

Thank you to everyone who made Pastor Keith's farewell dinner on July 13 and his final worship service on July 14 a tremendous success! View a copy of the dinner program here. Pictured below is Bellevue Mayor Charlie Cleves presenting Pastor Keith with a proclamation declaring July 13, 2024 as Pastor Keith Haithcock day. Pastor Keith was also surprised and delighted to receive a 'Cadillac' from the congregation. We hear red is his favorite color!

If you have pictures or video from either event, please share by emailing to Office@StJohnChurch.net.

Introducing St. John Church’s Interim Pastor and Teacher

Rev. Dr. Allen Fluent

The Strategic Leadership Council (SLC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Rev. Dr. Allen Fluent as our Intentional Interim Pastor and Teacher. He will begin work on Wednesday, August 7 and his first worship service will be on Sunday, August 11, 2024. His planned onsite day in the church office will be Wednesday.

The SLC is so grateful to the Interim Search Committee members for a thoughtful and successful search: Robert Moreland (chair), Sandy Kerlin, Mary Ann Reilly, Jim Palm. Thank you!

We have enjoyed getting to know Pastor Allen in recent times and we know our church family will appreciate his knowledge and expertise as we experience a time of transition.

Please plan to join us after worship on Sunday, August 11 for light refreshments and a brief St. John community meeting. We will have Q&A and discussion on what’s ahead as we work with Pastor Allen.
