Hello Stargazers,

With guidance from the Denver Astronomical Society, we are sorry to say we need to cancel the event at Lost Canyon for Saturday 10/10. 

Unfortunately, the forecast hasn’t changed since yesterday and cloud cover at 88% is far beyond the 50% or less cloud cover the DAS volunteers need to run a successful Astronomy event. As we know clear, stable skies are essential, and the weather forecast calls for too many clouds.

We know how popular Stargazing is and how many of you were looking forward to joining us at Lost Canyon Ranch Open Space.

The Castle Rock Parks & Trails Foundation won’t reschedule this event until spring 2027, but because you registered this year, you’ll be among the first to hear when the new date is set. Your registration will not automatically transfer to the 2027 event.

Your registration and donation directly support future programs and improvements at Lost Canyon, and we’re incredibly grateful for your support of outdoor spaces and experiences in our community.

We hope to see you on the trails in 2027!
