Praise:

We praise God that the Baptist Convention of Malawi has been sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ for over 55 years after registering with the Malawi Government in 1973. We also praise God for the Executive Leadership Board, departments, institutions, and partners for their rendered service of the Good News in Malawi and beyond. We also give thanks for the leadership of BWA Vice President Elizabeth Mvula.

Prayer:

Pray for the upcoming August elections within the Baptist Convention of Malawi. Pray also for the country's presidential election on September 16. Pray for God's wisdom and direction as we serve in the Baptist Convention of Malawi.

Praise:

We give thanks for the opportunity to distribute BWAid grant resources during the COVID pandemic to provide food for hundreds of people in the areas of Ndola, Nkwazi, and Chipulukusu.

Prayer:

Join us in prayer for the many who continue to suffer from hunger throughout the nation. We pray for God’s provision and opportunities for churches to be a source of help and hope to those in need.

We also join in prayer this week for the people of Western Sahara and Tunisia

Praying for the Baptist World Congress

Join us in prayer for the many volunteers who will be serving at Congress. Pray for the Lord's protection over their health. Pray that the experience serving at Congress will be an opportunity to utilize their God-given gifts and a source of joy and encouragement for them for years to come.

A Prayer from Malawi

God of love, God of compassion,

in the midst of death and evil,

you mercifully look after us:

protecting, providing and smiling,

constantly reassuring us of your care.

Grant to us the joy of this occasion,

especially as we celebrate our birthdays,

knowing that your love is life.

Teach us to number our days aright,

that we may acquire a heart of wisdom,

through him whose life has become our light, even Jesus Christ.
