Professor Jessica D'elena-Tweed book design for The Biggest Film Biographer in the World: The Films of Ken Russell

Delancey Street Press

The book is a study of Ken Russell's film work from his early days at the BBC to his later, sometimes controversial, independent work. Russell's whole body of work was informed by a second Renaissance that took place in England in the 1960's and the book explores that time/place and the context in which the films came into being.

Oxford Art Journal

Initially recognised for his official monuments commissioned by the Turkish state, Bara’s shift towards abstraction and the subsequent publication of his thoughts and works in the internationally circulated L’Architecture d’Aujourd’hui carried significant weight within his local context, where ‘official’ art held sway.

Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, NY

Part of the artists’ Cosmosapience series, this project simulates a natural body of water that shifts between fluid dynamics and computational code. With The Thinking Ocean, Akten and Hofstadter explore the ways society grants agency to machines that mimic humanlike behavioral patterns, while overlooking the complex computations that similarly unfold in nature.

CLOSING SOON

MFA alum Taylor Chapin Fever Dreams

January 14 - February 28, 2026

Quint ONE, San Diego, CA

Known for a growing cast of anonymous individuals concealed in patterned, form-fitting fabrics, Chapin paints ambiguous scenes of them languorously existing in a manufactured mid-century purgatory. In this ongoing practice informed by both modern advertising and contemporary social media influencer culture, Chapin forges an entanglement between the collapsing dichotomies of the real and the artificial, and the valuable and valueless.
